Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services and products provided by Filacycle LLC (“Filacycle,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through our website and associated platforms (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using our Site or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use our Site or services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use our services. If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Recycling Program and Points System

2.1 Accepted Materials

We accept select thermoplastics used in 3D printing, such as PLA, PETG, and ABS. All materials must be:

  • Clean and free of contaminants.
  • Properly sorted by type and color (if requested).
  • Submitted in accordance with our packaging guidelines.

We reserve the right to reject any material, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion if it fails to meet quality or safety standards.

2.2 Point Accrual

  • You will receive 1,000 Filacycle Points per 1 kilogram of accepted material.
  • 3,000 Filacycle Points may be redeemed for one, 1Kg spool of recycled filament.
  • Points have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be revoked in the case of fraud or misuse.

2.3 Shipping

  • You are responsible for all shipping costs when sending plastic to Filacycle.
  • We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during transit.

3. Orders and Payments

Recycled filament may be purchased for $15 per spool (plus applicable taxes and shipping) or redeemed with Filacycle Points.

All payments must be made using approved methods on our Site.

Orders are typically processed within 3–5 business days, but may be delayed due to supply chain or production issues.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion.

4. Returns, Replacements, and Refunds

Due to the nature of recycled materials, all point-based redemptions are final and non-refundable.

For purchases made with cash or credit:

  • Defective or damaged products may be eligible for replacement or store credit if reported within 7 days of delivery.
  • To request a replacement, email sales@filacycle.com with order details and photo evidence.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

5.1 No Warranty

All products and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that our recycled filament will be compatible with all 3D printers or produce specific results.

5.2 Use at Your Own Risk

Use of our filament and other products is at your sole risk. By purchasing or using our filament, you agree that:

  • Filacycle is not responsible for any damage to your 3D printer, including but not limited to clogs, nozzle wear, motor damage, or electronic malfunction.
  • Filacycle is not liable for any defects in 3D-printed objects, including but not limited to structural failure, print inconsistency, or deformation.
  • Filacycle disclaims all liability for personal injury or property damage resulting from the use, misuse, or inability to use our products.

5.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Filacycle, its affiliates, directors, employees, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from:

  • The use or inability to use our services or products.
  • Any issues with quality, performance, or reliability of our recycled filament.
  • Any transactions or communications between you and third parties.

Filacycle’s total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

6. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, especially in the case of suspected fraud, abuse, or misrepresentation.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to logos, product names, graphics, text, and code, is the property of Filacycle and is protected under intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Site or services without express written permission.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

9. Changes to Terms

Filacycle reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our Site and services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
